Spinal decompression without surgery

Sciatica in Guadalajara: understand the pain and treat the cause

Sciatica is pain that travels down the leg from irritation of the sciatic nerve, often starting in the lower back. We assess your case with a hands-on clinical exam and, when it's appropriate, non-invasive spinal decompression — no miracle promises, but a clear plan from your first visit.

What is sciatica?

Sciatica isn't a disease in itself — it's a pattern of pain usually felt in the buttock, thigh, calf, or foot, sometimes with tingling or weakness. It can come from a herniated disc, stenosis, vertebral misalignment, or other causes that compress or irritate the nerve. That's why the evaluation matters: not all leg pain is the same, and it isn't all treated the same way.

Symptoms and when to seek care

  • Pain that runs down one leg, sometimes stronger than the back pain itself
  • Tingling, burning, or numbness in the buttock, thigh, or foot
  • Weakness when walking, climbing stairs, or lifting your foot
  • Pain that worsens when you sit for a long time, cough, or bend forward
  • Seek an evaluation promptly if you lose bladder or bowel control, have marked weakness, or run a fever alongside severe pain

How we approach it

  1. Clinical evaluation

History, hands-on exam, and a review of any prior imaging. It includes an assessment before we recommend any program.

  2. Personalized plan

We explain the likely cause, what to expect, and whether spinal decompression is indicated in your case. We don't sell packages without evaluating first.

  3. Spinal decompression

Using decompression technology, we work to reduce pressure on the disc and the nerve, in progressive, supervised sessions.

Helpful information

Frequently asked questions

How long does sciatica last without treatment?

It varies a lot: some people improve within weeks; others have episodes that keep coming back. An evaluation helps you know whether it's better to act now or watch it with a plan.

How many decompression sessions do I need?

It depends on the cause, how long you've had the pain, and how you respond. We set that after the evaluation — there's no fixed number that fits everyone.

Is medication enough?

It can relieve symptoms temporarily, but it doesn't correct mechanical compression. We use it as support, not as the only strategy when there's a structural cause.

When do I actually need surgery?

When there's confirmed severe compression, progressive weakness, cauda equina symptoms, or when a full conservative plan hasn't improved your function. We'll tell you honestly at the evaluation.
