If you've been dealing with back pain, sciatica, or a herniated disc that isn't improving, the first step is understanding the cause — not pushing you into a package before we've seen your case.
The spine evaluation takes about an hour and a half. We go through your history, examine how you move and your posture, and review any prior imaging you bring.
With that, we decide whether spinal decompression or another conservative approach makes sense, and what plan you can actually keep up with in real life.
What the evaluation includes
- A detailed clinical history and time to hear out your symptoms.
- A physical exam of your spine, posture, and movement.
- A review of any X-rays or prior imaging you bring.
- A clear explanation of the findings and your conservative options.
- An honest recommendation: treatment, follow-up, or a referral if that's what you need.
What if a scan is needed?
Sometimes a clinical exam needs an objective complement. A spine scan shows the structure in more detail and helps direct treatment.
We don't order studies routinely: a scan is indicated when it tells us something that changes the plan. And it never replaces the consultation — findings are read alongside your history, your symptoms and the physical exam.
- Persistent pain with no clear diagnosis.
- Symptoms suggesting nerve compression.
- Follow-up on a condition already in treatment.
- Preparing a decompression or rehabilitation plan.
How treatment works
Treatment always starts from the evaluation: how the pain began, what keeps it going, and which structures are involved. From there we combine chiropractic adjustments, manual therapy, prescribed exercise and education, so you get control of your day back.
Where the evaluation indicates it — a herniated or bulging disc, mechanical low-back pain — we use flexion-distraction: controlled movement with gentle distraction of the spine to take pressure off the disc. It is never a treatment on its own; it sits inside a plan with follow-up, because relief that does not hold is not a result.
What if I just want an opinion?
Not every case needs the full evaluation. If your pain is new or mild and you mainly want to understand it, say so when you book: a consultation covers your symptoms and history, a basic exam, and guidance on conservative options.
The ~1.5 h evaluation is the right call for a herniated disc, persistent sciatica, or before a decompression program. If you start with a consultation and your case needs more, we tell you — never the other way round.
When it makes sense to book
- Low-back pain or sciatica that's limiting your day-to-day.
- A herniated disc or suspected nerve compression.
- Pain that persists after rest or medication.
- You want a second opinion before surgery.
Our approach
Cause before symptom
We don't sell packages before seeing your case. The evaluation is the starting point for a plan built around you — decompression, adjustments, exercises, or follow-up, depending on what your spine actually needs.
Book your spine evaluation
The evaluation includes a complete clinical assessment. Afterward we decide the next step together — no pressure to sign up for a program.
