Disc herniation symptoms | when to book evaluation
D.C., Chiropractor, Cary H. Rothenberg. Professional license 15265498.
Symptoms vary with nerve contact and daily load. Evaluation reviews history, exam, and imaging if you bring it. Plan set in evaluation; no promise of results from the first session.

What to know
Pain, stiffness, and leg symptoms do not prove a herniation without exam. Evaluation connects your story to conservative options when appropriate.
When to book evaluation
- Pain or stiffness that limits work, sleep, or daily activity.
- Symptoms into the buttock or leg, or numbness.
- Episodes that do not improve with brief rest.
- Recent imaging you want reviewed in the visit.
Do not book here for loss of bladder or bowel control, numbness in the genital or anal area, leg weakness that is getting worse, or pain after a major injury. That is an emergency.
