Cervical disc herniation | conservative evaluation

D.C., Chiropractor, Cary H. Rothenberg. Professional license 15265498.

Cervical disc herniation can irritate nerves in the neck or arm. Evaluation reviews symptoms, exam, and studies if you bring them. Surgery is not the only path; plan set in evaluation.

What to know

Neck and arm symptoms need a careful exam. Imaging helps when you already have it. Conservative care is considered when appropriate after evaluation.

When to book evaluation

  • Pain or stiffness that limits work, sleep, or daily activity.
  • Symptoms into the arm or hand, or neck stiffness.
  • Episodes that do not improve with brief rest.
  • Recent imaging you want reviewed in the visit.

Do not book here for loss of bladder or bowel control, numbness in the genital or anal area, leg weakness that is getting worse, or pain after a major injury. That is an emergency.
